While reading land deeds for Phineas Coleman, a deed was found dated October 1, 1858, which documented the selling of
1/8 part of land by Marie Jinkins Baker, wife of Mahlon Baker of Allegany County.
"Whereas the said Maria Baker, wife of the said Mahlon Baker, is the daughter of a certain Samuel Jinkins, late of Allegany
County, now deceased, and the said Maria Baker being one of the heirs at law in and to the estate of the said Samuel Jinkins
and thereby entitled to the one eighth part of a certain tract of a piece of land ........."
